People begin with a long lesson of approximately 3 hours. This covers a safety film, fit for boots (if you don't have them), fit
for helmet and assign saddle. Paperwork is completed and demonstration begins of how things are done.
Horses behave much more dependably if they know what to plan on so we teach the students a certain routine. We try to
have a small ride during the first lesson.
People taking lessons ride on a weekly or more often basis. We try to work with individual schedules. The pictures will
show you some of what you learn while with us.

| The horse becomes your teacher. All I do is point the way for you to learn about appropriate communication and the horse does the rest. There is instant feedback - you get it right and the horse does what you intended. If your communication is not complete (according to what the horse needs) your outcome will be what you asked but not necessarily what you intended. |
| You will learn how your energy and attitude impact your interaction with the horse. The more in control of yourself the better the outcome. |
| You will learn to consider what is comfortable for the horse. A comfortable horse will be more willing to work for you. |
| You will experience riding with the western and English saddles as well as riding bareback or without a saddle. |
